2 Corinthians 5:21
“For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”
Isaiah 53:5
“But he was pierced for our transgressions;
he was crushed for our iniquities;
upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace,
and with his wounds we are healed.”
Prayer:
Thank you Jesus, for taking the punishment that we deserved for our sin. Thank you for living a righteous life and granting me your righteousness — the one the Father sees us with and can receive us. Help us to never think we deserve his acceptance for our good deeds.
